Description

This home has been completely renovated and has all new everything as of late May 2023. The bright and airy home sits in the heart of Downtown New Buffalo and is an easy walk to New Buffalo Beach, the Stray Dog, Beer Church, and all that this lovely lakeshore town has to offer.

When you enter the home you’ll step into a large, open floor plan with lots of natural light. The living flows into the dining room which connects to the kitchen over a bar with seating for 2. Off to the right of the main living area are 2 bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a Queen bed and en suite bathroom and offers access to the back deck through a sliding door.

The second upstairs bedroom sleeps 3 in a full bed and twin bed. There is also a bathroom between these two bedrooms.
Head downstairs to a second living room with a TV and cozy seating. Off this secondary living space are two more bedrooms and a bathroom. The back basement bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed and the front basement bedroom features a Queen bed.

The back of the home is relaxing and private, with a large deck and fenced in backyard that is perfect for a pets, kids, and yard games!

How far away is the public beach?
The beach is 6/10 of a mile to the New Buffalo Public Beach so you can walk or drive and park. Please note that there is a fee to park and they do take cards.

FAQ
How many cars can we have in the driveway?
You can easily fit 4 cars in the driveway. There is street parking also in the area (ONLY IN THE SUMMER!)

Pet Policy
This home is pet friendly with a fully fenced in yard. A $100 pet fee is charged per dog.

Is the garage available for use?
The garage is closed off at the moment.

There is one security camera on the garage, facing out to the street and driveway. No private areas are in the view.

Our family of five and two senior dogs enjoyed our stay very much! The location was perfect for walking to some of our favorite restaurants such as Brewster’s, Stray Dog and Casey’s. We visited a winery, went to St. Joe one day and visited Sawyer to enjoy lunch at Greenbush Brewery on another.

The house and location was fantastic; however we had a problem with the AC not cooling the main level. We inquired about that and Third Coast immediately sent a staff member out to assess. It was a Sunday so they could not get an HVAC technician out, so they very generously moved us to another property. We were not expecting this at all and were very happy and grateful for the very proactive service from Third Coast. Would recommend Third Coast for their very friendly and proactive service.

Everything was as advertised. Communication was quick and always helpful.The house was very well appointed and clean. The layout was excellent (for a family of 6 adults, a 6 year-old and an infant). Having 3 full bathrooms was a plus. And the location was perfect. We could walk to the beach, restaurants, town. Loved being able to walk almost everywhere - including the beach and restaurants. We went several times after dinner to Oinks for fabulous ice cream - also just a shirt was away. In the morning, there was a food truck parked down the block that made fresh donuts.

Our family, 6 adults a 6 year-old and an 8 month-old had a wonderful time. Everyone had their own room, and with three full baths it was easy to schedule showers after the beach. The house was very well-appointed and in a fantastic location: we walked to the beach, restaurants and town. Communication with the property managers was excellent. The hosts were very helpful and communicative throught the entire stay. If you’re looking for a long weekend, I highly recommend this spot! It is right next to the main strip of New Buffalo! Everything is within walking distance! The house fit all of the ladies without issue. It was clean, organized, and welcoming. We had a very minor issues and the staff at Third Coast responded to my texts immediately. I loved having 24 hour staff. The backyard is great for games and hanging out. If I had to leave one complaint it would be the beds are pretty stiff for my liking. However, we would book here again in a heartbeat!

Great Location and Great House

We enjoyed our stay on Barker Street. House was exactly as listed, and newly renovated. Plenty of space for our group of 7 adults. Very easy 2 block walk to New Buffalo Main Street. Fenced in backyard was a huge plus. Would definitely stay here again.

Central location

We brought the kids for a few days to the area and had a blast. the home is so centrally located, we walked everywhere. Clean property, fenced in yard, and plenty of parking for all of us. We will come back!

Great location - walkable to downtown New Buffalo's restraunts and bars. House is updated and clean. There was a noticeable smell of stale cigarette smoke but we opened the windows to let fresh air in. Nice back deck. We connected with a local Uber driver, Kel who was recommended in the helpful house guest/guide book. He was fantastic! Just be sure to request a ride in advance of your stay to make sure he is available.

We had a great stay at Dan’s place. The home was clean, updated and came with all the basics as well as a few additional nice to haves (ie. Kids cups, utensils and plates, ice in freezer, extra beach towels accessible, etc). We loved the backyard and the fire pit at night, and the patio was great for enjoying breakfast and coffee outside on. Was also nice to have 2 sitting areas inside house so we could have kids watching a movie and adults sitting upstairs and not feel too crowded all on one set of couches. Bathrooms upstairs were really nice and spacious- definitely a comfortable home for a group to stay in and enjoy all New Buff has to offer!
