The Hygge House is named after a Danish word that describes a moment of coziness and contentment, and this lovely home has been designed to perfectly embody that feeling.  Beautifully renovated in 2018, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom house sits on a three-quarter acre yard and is less than 1,000 feet from a private entrance to a sandy beach on Lake Michigan.  Beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach wagon are provided to make your day at the beach a breeze!

After a day at the beach, unwind on the spacious back patio, which includes a gas grill, outdoor dining table, patio lighting, and fire pit to gather around each evening.  The enclosed yard provides a wonderful setting for fun and games, and you’ll even find a croquet set, corn hole boards and Frisbee for you to use.  

Indoors, a sunken living room provides a perfect area to gather with family and friends, and offers a 50-inch smart TV with both streaming and cable channels.  Additionally, there is a Bluetooth stereo system and a wood-burning rustic fireplace.  Enjoy plenty of counter space and quality appliances in the kitchen, and a roomy dining room that doesn’t sacrifice the intimate dining experience.  

The home has excellent air quality thanks to an Ion Plasma air treatment system, built directly into the A/C and furnace.  Additionally, there is a separate stand-alone 4-stage air purification system.  

When it’s time to turn in, you’ll find two bedrooms.  The primary has a queen-size bed with an en suite bathroom, dual vanities and a shower.  The second bedroom features a queen-size bed.  Both bedrooms offer bedside USB chargers/lights.  The front living room provides additional space for friends and family and includes a comfortable, American Leather (brand) queen-size sleeper sofa.  The second bathroom includes a tub/shower so you can unwind or give the kiddos a bath after a day at the beach.

Beach Access
First, please make sure to grab the key located on a hook on the front room coat rack. Walk south on Lakeshore to the wooden gate door across from Breezy Lane. There is a house number to the right of the door (15486), walk down the fenced path and stairs and you will be at the private neighborhood beach! Please note that there is no parking so you have to walk. Access to the private beachfront requires descending stairs and a sandy bluff.

Beach Items
There are 4 or 5 beach chairs and miscellaneous floats and today in the shed.

Off Season Amenities
From mid-November to mid-March, only the fire pit, some surrounding chairs, and the grill are present on the patio.   

Parking
There is room for three cars in the driveway. No street parking is allowed in the area.

Coffee maker
There is a drip coffee maker in the kitchen and there are filters at the house.

Grill Items
There is a hard-lined propane grill on the back porch along with grill tools. Please call if they have disappeared and we will bring more.
